Tomorrow is October 1st which means winter is closely approaching and that means…SNOWBOARDING SEASON STARTS SOON! Can you tell I’m excited?
Anyways, I love snowboarding and I am absolutely sick of the heat. Usually here in Phoenix the weather doesn’t cool down until the end of October but Denver isn’t too far away so it is time for me to find some cabin rentals.
Last year I went snowboarding quite a bid and my thirst for unpacked powder led me to Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, Canada. We rented a sweet cabin and stayed for almost a week. The whole thing was surreal and one of the best trips I have ever been on. I may try to go up there again this season or check out some other spots like Tahoe or Jackson Hole.
Guess it all depends on whose getting what this year. Anyone know if this season is supposed to be good? Last year was a blast!

Recently, August 26th to be exact, I purchased my first home and I have finally realized it’s time to get rid of my old junky college furniture. I’ve been looking around online for new furnishings for my home and I can’t make a decision. Do I go with some nice Italian furniture and spend the big bucks or keep the Arizona theme inside my home and go a Santa Fe route?
Since the move in, I’ve been searching endlessly from Craigslist to Ikea to online specialty shops and I think I found a place with some awesome looking contemporary furniture that I’m very interested in.
EroomService.com has a collection of pretty amazing looking furniture. Some of the pieces that really grab my attention are the dining room sets (which I need bad) and the bedroom platform beds. The Tokyo Modern Furniture is incredible, pricey, but wow I’m looking for something different and something that will last a long time and this stuff looks like a winner.
I haven’t made my final decision yet but I think it’s time to save up a little more and get some of this modern furniture to change things up a bit. If anyone knows of any other good sources for furniture please let me know, my race car bed needs to go.

Beck came to the Dodge theater here in Phoenix last night and all I have to say is I am deeply disappointed. I think Beck is amazing on record and I’ve always wanted to see him live, assuming he would be really good, but damn, he sounds nothing like himself on record.
He came out to the song “Loser” and he missed his mark. The sound was all over the place and he kept singing too far away from the microphone. He followed that song up with “Girl” and was all over the place on that song too! $50 dollars to see him live so I was expecting something good…FAIL!
MGMT opened the show and they were pretty good but the only decent thing about Beck’s live show was his Amy Winehouse looking guitarist.

Hours after performing for thousands of South Carolina college students, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured in a fiery Learjet crash that killed four people.
The plane skidded off the South Carolina runway and has left both Travis Barker and DJ AM in critical condition at a Georgia burn center.
