I went up to Payson, AZ ( Aka The Rim) on Saturday and happened to stop by the town’s liquor store.

No, this is not a joke. Rim Liquor is the town’s liquor store and quite possibly the greatest liquor store ever! I snapped this shot with my iPhone. I also tried looking for a local paper to see if they titled their classified section as “Rim Jobs” but couldn’t find one.
Stay Classy Payson!

A friend of mine used to work in Payson at the newspaper. It’s called the Payson Roundup.
Oh, the stories of Payson… the wonderfully funny and horrible stories of Payson…

For heaven’s sake people — Payson just happens to be located on what is known in Arizona as “The Mogollon Rim,” a geographic feature where the terrain is an escarpment defining the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau. It runs about 200 miles across Arizona (E-W) from New Mexico to northern Yavapai County. Look it up on Wikipedia–there’s lot of info!
