Facebook and Myspace Joint Announcement Today

Today, the hood of the internet (MySpace) and their reason for complete downfall (Facebook) have sent out an invite, according to an invite sent to Mashable, for a joint announcement at 12:00pm PST.

Mashable is guessing that the announcement will be related to MySpace using the Facebook Platform or Facebook Connect. My guess, it’s not related to connect since that feature has been on for a while. I’m thinking they are joining forces to create an even better social entertainment portal to compete with Apple’s Ping. Nah, who am I kidding, it’s probably a baby.

Update: You can now log into Myspace with facebook via what they are calling “Mashup with Facebook”. So connect was the focus here. All that for this info. Damn, they are really trying hard here.
