I just got back from attending SES San Jose a few days ago and thought I would throw together a quick recap of the trip.

1.) The SES conference was good.

2.) San Jose SUCKS! I went to an Irish pub the first night there and heard “Last Call” at Ten F**KING O’clock p.m. Someone PLEASE tell me how the F**K you can call yourself an Irish pub when you close at 10pm. LAAAAME!

3.) San Jose smells of rich DOO-DOO! Every couple of blocks I smelt rich and thick doo doo smells. Gross.

4.) I drank WAAAAAY too much. Niiice!

5.) I’m not to sure how I managed to get home a few nights, or mornings I should say.

6.) I couldn’t find a damn Margarita anywhere I went there. Even Tres Gringos didn’t have a blender to make Margarita’s…WTF!

7.) LIDO’s (the gay club) is only gay on Wednesday nights. DAMN IT! There went the joke we were going to play on Joe Whyte. F**king Lido’s!

8.) Google Plex (headquarters) is BAD ASS! Google through a siiiick party (Google Dance) which I thank them many, many times for! Google I heart you!

9.) The Hilton San Jose Sucks balls. I was jealous everyone else was staying at the pimp ass Fairmont. I had no mini-bar, doo doo smells outside the hotel because they were working on the pipes or something like that, an elevator that shook like a vibrating bed and I heard every single damn plane that flew over.

10.) The webmaster radio party was dope! Thanks Eddie for getting us in last minute.

I have more to say but-f**k-it. top 10 lists are SO HOT right now, yeah!

I had a good time overall and love raging with the usuals and the new peeps I raged met.

Since last Friday, 8/10/2007, I’ve noticed some fluctuations in Yahoo natural rankings for some key terms I rank very high for, like #1. All of a sudden though on Friday these rankings plummeted. Not fell a few spots but fell a butt load of pages deep?!?

I have also noticed a lot of other websites rankings change drastically which means Yahoo is definitely making some changes. Rumors on the street is Yahoo is redesigning their site, which looks a lot like Google (saw a screen show but who knows if it’s legit) but this shouldn’t have anything to do with rankings. I’ve also heard a few people talking about Yahoo server exchanges…not sure if I believe this one though.

From what it appears to me is that Yahoo is combining old data with new data. The reason I say this is because I’ve seen websites that were 301 redirected months and months ago reappear in the results pages. Also, the websites that received the 301 redirected sites are not even in the top 1000 anymore. WTF?

Something very strange is going on here and I don’t like it at all. If you have heard anything, seen any crazy results, or have any ideas please let me know.
