So, I’m sitting here at work today in an empty office. I have been working all day and not receiving any responses from sites owners today because it’s “NEW YEARS FREAKING EVE”! Everyone is off getting ready for tonight I assume.

So now for the second year in a row I’m sitting here asking myself, “Why oh why, did I not schedule this day off…again?!?!?!

Bored as hell today but from what I can hear from the Advisors out on the floor is there are a ton of people calling in about student loan consolidation and college loans today. Really didn’t expect that today as I would figure most students would be drunk already, I mean come on, it’s past noon-thirty!

Damn it, go get drunk people so I can leave! JK.

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! Be safe.

I went and saw the movie American Gangster the other night and I have to say I was not impressed. I heard from a bunch of people before I saw the movie how great it was and even “It’s better than the Departed”! Therefore going into the movie I had high expectations which couldve been one of the reasons I was disappointed by the movie.

Here’s a list of the five major things that irritated me the most in the movie:

1.) Denzel Washington is not as great as everyone says he is. Yes, he’s a good actor but damn! How many times can he say the words “Huh, YEAH!” in every Effing movie he acts in. in American Gangster it’s over bored!

2.) This movie is based in the 70’s, so why the hell would you cast RZA from the Wu-tang clan and allow he to wear a sleeveless shirt exposing his RZA Wu-tang tattoo? I’m not going to lie though, RZA did a good job in the movie but the tattoo just annoyed me.

3.) The movie was waaaay to long. If they would have shortened the film I may have enjoyed it more. It seemed like they rushed a lot of scenes and by taking them out it would have made the movie better.

4.) Cuba Gooding Jr. is a douche bag in this movie. His performance was horrible.

5.) Russell Crowe who plays Richie Roberts in the movie annoyed the crap out of me with his accent. He’s supposed to have a Jersey accent but keeps switching between that and a Boston accent. Get your damn accent straight!

Although I didn’t enjoy the movie that much I still suggest seeing it for yourself. However, below are some recommend  thing you can do to enlighten your American Gangster movie experience in case you also find yourself bored and disappointed with the flick.

1.) Bring a flask filled with whiskey or Rum and buy a soda making a spiked drink.

2.) Everytime Denzel say’s “Huh, Yeah!” you drink once.

3.) Everytime Denzel say’s “My Man” you drink twice.

4.) Anytime T.I. says “Uncle Frank” you drink three times.

5.) And anytime Lymari Nadal (Denzel’s wife in the movie) says something you can’t effing understand, you finish your drink!

Bring a BIG flask…or the whole damn bottle! I think you’ll need it.

Was a blast. Just got back into Phoenix late last night so haven’t gotten a chance to post any pics yet. Stay tuned.

So tomorrow I make my return to the Big Apple since my last trip, SES NYC this past April (2007).

I leave tomorrow morning and return back to Phoenix Sunday night. Going to be staying at the Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge and can’t wait! Should be a blast and looking forward to being a tourist and meeting up with some Ol’ friends.

NextStudent Loans awesome Google reps Alex and Loren just sent us some sweet Google tee’s (which I will definitely be rocking at SES San Jose) however, after taking a quick look at the shirt I happened to notice the tag, which said American Apparel.

For those who don’t know what American Apparel is, AA is a Los Angeles based clothing company that is exxxtremely trendy right now. The company manufactures all their own clothing and does not place logos or designs anywhere on the clothing. For a measly $30 you can get a nice see-through shmedium.

Usually you will see Hanes or  Jersey’s on most screen printed tees tags but not with Google, cause they know what’s hot right now!

Google may purchase numerous amounts of companies for millions upon millions of dollars but it wasn’t until I saw American Apparel on the tag of their Google tees for me to finally realize that Google is making the big bucks!! (JK)

Thanks for the shirts Google, Y’all kick arse!
